Our Solicitor - Peter Tanswell

 

Peter Tanswell is the leader and director of PT Legal, a boutique law firm providing expert legal advice across an array of estate planning, probate, estate administration, and estate litigation.
 

Peter worked in the IT profession for over 40 years, gaining expertise across working as a Manager and Senior Manager for both KPMG and Ernst & Young (now EY) in both Sydney and the United Kingdom. This experience and background gives Peter a very pragmatic perspective when advising clients on complex legal matters.
 

Peter completed the Bachelor of Laws (LLB) by distance education at the University of New England (UNE), then completed the Practical Legal Training (PLT) in the College of Law. Following the PLT, Peter completed a Master of Applied Law in the College of Law majoring in Wills and Estates.
 

Prior to entering the legal profession, Peter completed a Doctorate in Project Management, with his thesis titled ‘The Dynamics of Change in a Complex Sporting Environment — Legislation Cricket’. Whilst completing his Doctorate, Peter gained a detailed understanding of Corporate Governance.
 

Peter has gained extensive expertise in all areas of succession law. He is a skilled succession lawyer and draws on his extensive experience in estate planning to provide pragmatic practical advice in relation to succession law and planning.
 

Utilising his IT skills along with his knowledge and experience in Wills and Estates has lead to Peter creating this site http://www.willcreator.com.au to enable clients to create their own Will, Power of Attorney and Enduring Guardian documents.
